City, nature, sport and adventure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n On Saturday, October 21, it’s that time again: the Sparkassen R\u00fcgen Bridge Marathon starts.\nIt is already the 15th edition of this major sporting and social event, which incorporates inner-city sections in Stralsund, the nature of R\u00fcgen and Altef\u00e4hr as well as special architectural highlights such as the R\u00fcgen Bridge and brings the region to life.\nAnyone can take part.\nIn addition to the full marathon course, there is also a half marathon, a 10 km run, a 6 km run and even a 3 km children’s run.\nThose who prefer to walk rather than run can do so on the DAK Walking and Nordic Walking Day, which takes place at the same time.\nThere are routes over ten and six kilometers.\nSo everyone can take part according to their range, fitness and desire.\nIf you don’t feel like exercising yourself, you can simply watch, cheer on or take advantage of the many games and leisure activities on offer along the route.\nThe whole region will be on its feet to provide athletes, hobby runners and families with an unforgettable day.\nMany sections of the route are easily accessible from the Hotel Kontorhaus.\nSurrounded by canals, the Strelasund, plenty of restaurants, the harbor and the Ozeaneum, the Hotel Kontorhaus offers relaxation and enjoyment away from the route as well as short distances to the historic old town.\nThe weekend of October 20 to 22 is the ideal weekend getaway for sports enthusiasts, adventure travelers and city tourists.\nThere’s something going on everywhere. <\/p>\n\n
